Religious Education

Our Parish provides opportunities of religious education and Sacramental preparation for Grades K-12 at different levels.


Children's Religious Education
    

The Children's Religious Education Program at St. Anthony provides faith formation for children from Kindergarten through 12th grade, teaching the person of Jesus Christi as well as the prayers, practices and traditions of our Catholic Faith.  Classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. followed by the 12 noon Mass beginning September 18, 2016.   (A light Breakfast will be served at 10 a.m.)



A Confirmation Class for 10th grade is held on Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. beginning September 19, 2016.  For more information, please contact Katherine Lopez Castro at 361-387-2774.

 

The White Army

The White Army ministry teaches the young children to pray the rosary and leads them to consecration to God through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  In obedience to the message of Fatima, the children grow in devotion to the Blessed Mother through prayer of the holy rosary and are guided to do penance.  The White Army Children meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Adoration Chapel inside the St. Anthony Administration Building.  Contact the parish office for more details. at 361-387-2774.
 

The EDGE is a Catholic middle school youth ministry experience created for early adolescents in grades six, seven, and eight.  Goals of the EDGE Program are to assist middle school youngsters in gaining an understanding and appreciation of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes and to develop an identity in middle school youth and in the EDGE ministry as being a vital and visual presence within the parish community.  The EDGE meets on Mondays in the Parish Hall at 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. beginning September 19, 2016. Life Teen is a Catholic high school relational ministry program for 9th-12th graders.  Our goal is to lead teens closer to Christ through the Eucharist.  We welcome all youth to a Mass held every Sunday at 6 p.m. followed by a Life Night in which we hold catechesis sessions and give the youth members opportunity to discuss social issues. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School (VBS) offers an exciting educational program that brings our youth closer to Jesus Christ.  It takes place for one week in June.
